Official: Torino sign Ngonge from Napoli, ready for Israel medical

Cyril Ngonge joins Torino from Napoli

Torino have officially signed Cyril Ngonge from Napoli, on loan with an option to buy, while Sporting CP goalkeeper Franco Israel arrived for his medical.

The Granata announced the deal for Ngonge this evening with a statement.

According to the reports, this is a paid loan for €1m with an option to make it permanent at the end of the season for a further €16-17m.

It is therefore a reunion for the winger and coach Marco Baroni, as they had worked together at Hellas Verona in 2023-24.

The Belgian was sold to Napoli for €20m in January 2024, but only made 21 competitive appearances for the club last season, scoring two goals.

It will not be the only new signing for Toro, as this evening Uruguayan goalkeeper Israel arrived at his hotel in Turin.

He will undergo a medical on Friday morning, before completing the permanent transfer from Sporting CP.

This deal is reported to cost €4.5-5m including add-ons, with Juventus pocketing half of that sum.

This is because Israel was in the Juventus youth academy when sold to Sporting in 2022, with a 50 per cent cut of the future fee.
